Ahh New Year's Eve, the time to make resolutions and to never follow through with them!
But this year, I have my mind set on making this new year different! I am going to complete each and every one of my resolutions by the time 2013 is up. Who's got two thumbs and is determined? This girl!
My resolutions consist of these:
- Have a flat, firm stomach
- Be healthier in general
- Learn how to play guitar
- Stop procrastinating
I really need to be a healthier person. Every day after school, I come home and eat A TON of junk food. Because of my slow metabolism and lack of excersize, I am gaining weight. I need to start making time to go for a something as little as a fifteen minute run or a couple rounds of Just Dance. My eating habits need to change drastically. All I can think about is food, food, food, food, food. The more junk food, the merrier, and also the fatter. You know how they say "An apple a day keeps the doctor away?" Well I think "A cookie a day makes the fat really stay." I should probably start eating more fruits and veggies... But back to my point. I need to start being healthier. If only America would join me, because then I feel the grocery stores would be stocked with more veggies than Cheese Puffs and more fruits than Fruity Pebbles. That would take a great deal of weight off of my shoulders! Nevertheless, I must control my own fate, and my own cravings. Self-control is a must have for any health/weight-loss journey! Other than muscle tone, self-control is something that I need to gain! Providing myself with better eating habits and excersizing on a daily basis is the only way I am going to become healthier!
As a little girl, I would always see musicians on TV and think, "Wow! I'd like to learn how to play a guitar!" Well, on December 25th, 2012, I was given a guitar for Christmas! The only problem with that is that I cannot pay for lessons and I have no clue how to read music, so this is going to be fun... I know how to play a couple chords, but that's about it! And the guitar strings hurt my fingers really bad, but I was told that I should get used to it. For now, I am just going to look up "How to play guitar" on Google and Youtube.
Procrastinators unite! Tomorrow... I am the worst offender in the crime of procrastination. Constantly I am staying up late, trying to complete my homework for school. I'm not just talking about 10:00 or 11:00, I'm talking about 12:00 to two in the morning!! I wake up drowsy and I almost fall asleep during class every day! I always tell myself that I will stop procrastinating, but it happens anyway. This resolution is going to be a challenge.
