This year I plan on following through with my resolutions, so I am going to document my progress as I go!

January 1st
It is officially 2013 and the time to start our resolutions!
So far I have followed through with being a healthier person by eating a nice breakfast (3 egg whites with a glass of orange juice). The only problem with that is my stomach was growling again two hours later, so this is going to be interesting. I decided to eat small meals with one snack between each one. In the case of today, I am going to eat one of the Oats & Honey granola bars that have been sitting behind the potato chips. Now wonder I never saw them... Nevertheless, I need to eat a little less today because my family is having pizza for dinner tonight. As much as I would like them to join me, the reality of the situation is you can bring a horse to water but you cannot make it drink. So whenever there is going to be an unhealthy meal, I will just have to cut back on some food during that day and excersize a little more the next. It's really the only solution that I can think of because I can't just ditch on every family dinner. Speaking of excersize, I'm going to bust some moves to some Just Dance 4! Maybe I could con my mom into playing it with me...
For my resolution of learning how to play guitar, this is going to be a hard one. For the past week, all I've been trying to do is learn the five chords that I've been taught. I know the A, C, D, E, and G chords, but I still need to work on getting calluses on the tips of my fingers so they don't hurt. Pushing hard on those strings really makes my fingertips sting! One of my buddies suggested a song for me to play--Free Falling by Tom Petty. He said that it involves only three chords and should be easy for a beginner to learn, but I guess we'll see!
Procrastinate, procrastinate, procrastinate--All I want to do it procrastinate! I'm too lazy today to do my homework, even though I should try to get ahead because I am going to have a busy week ahead of me. All I need is the motivation to get started and the focus to keep going; both things I lack at this very moment in time. Instead of doing my homework right now, I think I'm going to start my laundry just to get at least something done today!
